It would be foolish of us to not blog about one of the most effective videos we’ve ever produced. Using video to promote rental properties or real estate is a no-brainer. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million. Imagine being able to explore a neighborhood, learn about a buildings amenities, and check out the kitchen and bath without having to leave the seat of your chair. Not only does the video give the apartment shopper a personal tour, it makes the property easier to find online (never forget, having a video increases SEO!) We have heard stories from our clients about apartments filling up and starting waiting lists as a direct result of utilizing web video. Right before our eyes the many vacancies they had before making their video turned into non-vacancies. We have seen buildings that were spending over $20 per contact (cost of running ad divided by amount of appointments) they generated from their online listings lower their cost per contact to less than $2! These results are uncanny. They had further reach and a more effective ad and as a result the phone calls started pouring in. To not have video would cost these properties tons of money!
We get new orders from the same clients every week because they all see the value in video first hand.
Here is a picture of Ben showcasing the magazine that was given out at The Art of Management conference. We had a full page ad in the magazine and while print is not normally our cup of tea – we thought this was a pretty good use of a page. By complete fluke we chose a similar font to the Marcus Buckingham article next to our ad. I’m sure many people read our article thinking Marcus Buckingham wrote it. Mwahahha!
He didn’t though.
Dima Beznosov, our good friend and regular script/copywriter wrote it and the art direction was done by Alessandro Würgler.

I was recently a guest on The Spider Jones Show on NewsTalk 1010 to talk about social media. We brought a couple cameras to the station to capture the interview. Big thanks to Spider for having us on.

It’s one of the great pleasures of my life to be involved with The Art of Productions.
On October 16th Justin and I will be filming at the Art of Management event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Speakers at this event include Marcus Buckingham, Tom Peters, Mitch Joel and one of my personal heroes – David Allen.
This is a promo video we did for the event and check out http://www.theartofproductions.com/events-managementToronto_Oct09.html to get info on tickets.
See you there!

We posted a blog a few weeks back showing one of our clients videos. In hindsight we don’t feel it was the best example of how to have fun with your video content. The same client recently did a similar video but for a drastically different demographic – so once again, meet LITTLE ALAN SMITHSON. This time Alan shows his true colours for the Star Productions DJ website. Alan is always looking for fun and unique ways to incorporate video content into his marketing – you can learn a lot from him!
