Yoshi Meets the Cannon T2i – **Warning** Cute Overload

July 20, 2010  |

This is The Biz Media’s head of production, Justin Brennon Smith, trying out the office’s new T2i with a manual focus on the most feisty of subjects, Yoshi.

The lense being used in this video is not designed for moving subjects, so focusing takes a lot of… focus.

Cellphone Video is Here

July 5, 2010  |

The iPhone 4 has three capabilities which make it the first pocket sized video production device that will suceed.  A very high resolution display so myultiple clips can be onscreen clearly, 512mb of ram to actual run the software and iMovie which is simple, fluid and already familiar to many. The addition of multitasking is an absolute nessisity as well, could you imagine getting a call while rendering?

When it comes to ground zero video, or video uploaded during or right after an event I believe that the iPhone will be where it’s coming from.  Witness something, edit and upload it without hesitation, no PC required.

There is a problem though, Apple does not allow users to upload HD video directly to YouTube by default.  PixelPipe will allow you to upload your vids both in batches and without bandwidth restrictions, it’s the way to go for video enthusiasts.

#TheBizMedia Session with Scott Stratten

June 18, 2010  |

Unmarketing, AKA Scott Stratten, served up a stellar keynote without notes, a mic or even notes to an enthusiastic crowed on the roof of the Merchandise Building in Toronto.  Scott’s blunt and in-your-face approach to social media was appreciated by most everyone, even the most jaded in social media/ communications professionals present.

Scott manages to explain in a colourful and entertaining manner that perhaps social media isn’t for some people…  and some people are idiots.

The Biz Media thanks all who were able to make it out to our first #TheBizMedia Sessio;  you are all wicked awesome.

Vere is Valdo? – A Video Tour

May 16, 2010  |

The addition of panning and narration ads a dramatic new, yet darker tone to a children’s classic.

All that was required to make this video was a decent microphone, scanner and a great script.  The panning effect can be generated from most video editing software including the Express version of Final Cut.

“What? They didn’t make a film. They just filmed interviews of people, added clips of existing footage, and edited it together. Totally unoriginal.” – kmoser

So much to love about this vid,  especially the augmented reality VJ interface.
